 Daycare
I wanted to let you know how happy I’ve been with the DogScoop. Your operation is one of the best run businesses that I have ever dealt with & I have appreciated your patience with the frequent schedule changes I have had to make over the past year in particular. Dover has obviously loved coming to daycare and I think it has been really been good for him. It goes without saying that I will continue to recommend you guys to anyone I know who is looking for dog daycare in the Newton area. - David My dog doesn't do so well in a crated enviroment, so I was really relieved to find a doggy daycare that doesn't crate. They let the dogs run around all day. They also have heated sections in the winter and air conditioning and wading pools for the dogs in the summer. And all the people that work there have a ton of formal training experience. I can tell when I go there that the dogs have tons of respect for the workers there and behave amazingly well. (My dog is MUCH more obedient at daycare than he is with me!) We have also used the dog trainer there for private lessons and the grooming is amazing. You can bulk purchase days as well for less $. I would absolutely recommend them. As a matter of fact, we have moved so it is less convenient, but I love knowing my dog is getting the best care and having fun as well. - Laurie
I want to say thank you for taking care of our puppy, Maple this week. We were referred to you from some friends and were a little nervous as we were traveling from Vermont. When we arrived, your staff was excellent and answered our exhausting list of questions (sorry, first dog owners). Your business is one of the finest and our puppy had a great time there for the day. We will certainly bring Maple there again when we visit Boston and will recommend the Dog Scoop to everyone that we know. - Chris & Abby
I have been meaning to say this for a really long time, but I just wanted to write and say how much we really, really appreciate what great care you take of Thumpy. He is always so happy to go through the gate when we drop him off, we just know he loves it with you guys. I have to tell you and Alex (and all the staff) what good shape Madison is in when I pick him up. He's tired and neurotic, but clean and not stinky, wet or in any other unpleasant state (for us humans), except for needing to take care of "business". So, weather is not a factor when I decide to bring him. Thanks for doing such a great job! - Laura
Thanks for all your help. It was great to see the real concern with your crew when I drove up yesterday. You could really tell that they cared. Dear Alex, We put Molly to rest a few days ago. She was with us for over 16 years and she was a most beautiful dog and so much fun, barely slowing down until recently. Thank you for caring for her and offering support to me over the last six or more months. You made a difference with your daycare, your walking, and all of your terrific staff. We are very particular about who cares for our dog, and are pleased to have discovered Alex and his dedicated staff. Our 8-pound Maltese, Auggie, has had pick-up/ drop-off day care, and walks at home. They are dependable, the place is VERY clean, and small dogs are safely kept segregated from large dogs. Auggie comes home clean, calm (exercised) and happy. - Auggie
The DogScoop is the most wonderful place to take our beloved little lab. We searched for a playgroup or service and The DogScoop had everything we were looking for. Alex the owner is terrific, and also a certified trainer and very hands on, the place is impeccable clean. The DogScoop has been taking care of our 3 dogs for some time now and we have been absolutely thrilled with their services. We have the dogs walked once or twice
Again - I HIGHLY recommend them for walks, daycare, grooming, and training. They are professional and fun!! - Bailey, Pepe & Riley I can tell you that Rex likes to be there. He knows he has to go do his business before he comes in. Then he pulls at the leash when we are close to the door. So far Bogey has been to his "new daycare"- He gets picked up 11 ish, goes to a play group for an hour and a half and comes home. All in all it is about a three hours round trip for 15 dollars a day. I am grateful that we found something, but its no DOGSCOOP! He doesn't seem as tired at the end of the day like he was in your care. You guys were the best. - Stephanie

Please pass along to Allison that Ziggy and I are very happy with the grooming she did for Ziggy yesterday. He looks beautiful for his visit with his grandparents and he smells great too. Enjoy the rest of the summer and I will see you in a month or two. - Rocky I just wanted to provide some feedback regarding our recent grooming experience at The DogScoop. Jazmine recieved the full works grooming treatment and the job that you did was absolutely fantastic! She has never had a groom that included such an acute attention to detail. Her hair is so clean and soft, smells great and she looks wonderful. So many people have commented on how great she looks and we have told them all where they should go to get the same treatment for their pups. Hi Allison, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the pictures of Barney playing. You are the BEST!!!... I just forwarded them to Laurie. It seems he is getting better. The other day, I must of played with him in the backyard for about 40 minutes. Throwing the ball and him running and chasing after it. I almost had him come to me after getting the ball. (now that would of been great), but again...almost. What is strange is he does this early in the morning and then after that he is a dud all day, I don't know why? He won't do anything? When we walk him he is now VERY GOOD thanks to Jason...(who is a GOD to us). The only thing is that usually when he is playful its (I am not lying) 2am or 5am (a bit early in the morning). Well I guess you have to take the GOOD with the bad. Thank you again for spending the time with him (actually all of you). You have no idea how much this means to us. - Jeff
I have to tell you how great the 'boys' looked after their recent groom. So much fur was removed, that they actually looked smaller. It was much needed, but I never can get them to stand for that long (and my hands get sore). They looked so wonderfully soft and smooth, they haven't looked so good for years. Thanks for the great work. - Marlene Just wanted to thank you so much for Max's day with you on Friday. It was his first time being groomed at The DogScoop and we were so pleased with the result. He looks amazing. Who knew the fur on his paw could actually look so good! We will definetely return when Max is in need of another grooming session. - Elizabeth

We are forever grateful to you for making the quality of Whiskey's final year and a half so good! The care he received from all of you was amazing, and I have many mental pictures of him romping with one of you, gulping down his water, or just standing quietly. Thank you, too, for the gorgeous flower arrangement that just arrived. It's perfect for a nature lover: in addition, to the beautiful flowers, there is the luscious small of the mint and the incredibly soft leave of the Lamb's Ears. Hi Chris and Alex, I was hoping you could pass along a special thanks to the dog walker Linda. Scout has been giving most of the dog walkers a really tough time with going for a walk (she basically "shuts down" on our back stairs or in the driveway). Linda is the only one that is able to coax her down the driveway, and I just wanted to let her know how much we appreciate it. She went through this phase once before and it went away after a month or so. Hoping it's the case here.
